I exactly remember how deceived I felt when I heard the singer of that band left the band after the first demo. AFS has always been something special to me: one of the best oldschool bands from France. I really had the feeling they won't go on after the singer left, I was wrong. They've a new singer, and, man, this demo is their best stuff ever! Forget anything about AFS that came out before this demo! I'm not surprised my friends Xavier & Julien from Belgium decided to release that demo 'cause it totally kills. They still have that awesome youth crew approach wich is so unusual in France (and the reason why I always supported them) but you can feel they've listened a lot to Nerve Agents & Kid Dynamite since the first demo. The new singer as even more energy than the first one. Well, to sum it up (killer sound included) all is gathered on this CD to provide you with the best oldschool release to come out of France at this very moment. Get that, quick! [New Wind zine nr 6]

On peut dire que la scène française peut dormir sur ces deux oreilles ou plutôt être contente pour ses deux oreilles, lorsqu'on écoute un groupe de qualité comme Actions fall short. La line-up avait changé (après le titre paru dans walked in line), je trouve que le nouveau chant est tout aussi excellent plus dans le délire chant old school alors que le premier chant était plutôt dans le mélodique. En tout cas cette démo est super speed, bien rock n' roll, old school, ça cartonne !!! Les compositions sont super bien construites, pas de lassitude à l'écoute. Pas une minute de douceur, de calme n'est à attendre d'Actions fall short et c'est tant mieux !!! Le son est vraiment excellent, ça c'est à voir en concert !! Rating: excellent - [Babe Zine]

Old-school hardcore is coming back in full force in this new millenium. After Value Driven and Revive, here's a new French outfit for which I have high hopes for the future. The vocals are aggressive, the music is fast and there's some really good dancing parts with singalongs and even some crazy 'ooohhh oooohhhh ooohhh' parts, that were so popular in the 7-Seconds songs, if you know what I mean. These 8 songs (including a Misfits cover) came out on a young Belgian label, Still holding on. ACTIONS FALL SHORT est dans la foulée des mythiques Gorilla Biscuits, Insted, Ten Yard Fight.... Un old school assourdissant sans tomber dans les saturations et par delà une véritable bataille de tranchées. “Too Much Time” demeure une valeur sûre du groupe. On y sent une similitude avec des groupes comme Nerve Agents, AFI. Ceci donne une fraîcheur pétaradante et une énergie aussi rassurante que bénéfique. Les textes sont un mélange d'humour et de sérieux ! Le old school revient au grand galop et malgré des apparences trompeuses, il faut avoir ici le coeur bien accroché. Déversement de guitares ultra speed avec un chant très puissant. ACTIONS FALL SHORT occupe une place de choix ! A quand la suite ?
